Providence Initiative Nigeria Inc (PIN INC) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of underserved families in Ebonyi State and Delta State, Nigeria. Our mission is simple but urgent: to break the cycle of poverty by addressing four essential pillars of human dignity and opportunity namely; portable water, education, healthcare, and housing. This mission is born out of the experience of Fr. Jude Nwaigwa (a Catholic hospital and U.S. Army reserve chaplain) of the devastating effects of the severe lack experienced in these four areas in various communities across the country.

In many rural and low-income communities across Ebonyi and Delta States, families face daily challenges that limit opportunity and threaten wellbeing. Access to clean drinking water is often unreliable. Schools lack adequate learning materials and safe facilities. Basic healthcare services are limited, especially for women and children. Many families live in unsafe or substandard housing vulnerable to flooding and harsh weather conditions.
Despite these challenges, these communities are rich in culture, resilience, and potential. PIN exists to support that potential by building sustainable solutions that empower individuals and families to thrive.
...by providing the resources and tools needed to develop the skills and opportunities to empower those in poverty for a better future.
1. Provide Clean & Safe Drinking Water
Access to clean water is foundational to health and human flourishing. We support the drilling of boreholes, installation of community water systems, and education on safe water practices to reduce waterborne diseases and improve quality of life.
2. Improve Education
Education is a pathway out of poverty. PIN works to provide school supplies, scholarships, classroom renovations, and educational programs that create safe and inspiring learning environments for children and youth.
3. Improve Healthcare
Good health enables strong communities. We support medical outreach programs, preventive health education, maternal and child health initiatives, and partnerships with local clinics to increase access to affordable care.
4. Assist With Housing Needs
Safe shelter restores dignity and stability. PIN assists vulnerable families with home repairs, safe housing construction, and community development projects that provide long-term security.
We believe sustainable change happens when solutions are community-driven. Under the leadership of Fr. Jude Nawaiga and a U.S. based board, PIN partners with local leaders to identify real needs and implement practical, transparent, and measurable interventions.
We are committed to:
• Accountability and transparency
• Long-term impact over short-term relief
• Collaboration with local stakeholders
• Stewardship of donor resources
We envision communities in Ebonyi and Delta States where children have access to clean water and quality education, families receive adequate healthcare, and every household has safe and secure housing. Through faith, compassion, and partnership, PIN strives to restore hope and create opportunities for generations to come.
